Launch the Expere Data Model Install utility from the Expere Application CD.
Windows Install File: ExpereDataModel_Install64.exe.
Linux Install File: ExpereDataModel_Install.bin.
The Expere Data Model Installation screen displays installation instructions. Read the instructions carefully. Click Next.
The Choose Log and Source Files Location screen appears. In the Where would you like the log files and source files placed field, enter the desired log and source files location.
Note: In this step, the name of the location should be descriptive and unique for the particular user.
Click Next to display the Install Location Summary screen. This screen allows the user to review the install folder before installing the source files.
Click Install to continue.
Note: The installation process takes a few minutes. When complete, the installation will advance the user to the Choose Automated or Manual Install screen.
The Choose Automated or Manual Install screen appears. Select Follow the automated steps.
Click Next to display the Expere Data Model Owner screen.
Select Yes, I need to set up an Expere Data Model owner name., then click Next.
The Expere Data Model Connection screen appears. Complete the following information:
SID
User ID
Password
Confirm Password
Note: Your DBA should provide this information.
Click Next. The second Expere Date Model Owner Creation screen appears. Complete the following information:
Expere Data Model Owner ID
Password
Confirm Password
Click Next. The Create Expere Data Model Owner Summary screen appears.
Click Next. The Configure the Expere Data Model screen appears, stating that the Expere Data Model Owner and password were created.
Click Next. The Automated Expere Data Model Install Complete screen appears.
